There are two separate amounts, and they are paid at different times.
| The carry fee | Small $30 · Medium $40 · Large $50. Paid online when you send the request. |
| The item’s own cost | Whatever it actually rang up as, shown on the shop receipt. Paid directly to the runner by PayID, bank transfer or cash at handover, before the item is handed over. |
The carry fee is for the trip, not the goods. You are paying someone to carry something, not buying it from us.
Normally the runner pays for your item out of their own pocket and you settle up on delivery. That only works for ordinary amounts.
If the item is expected to cost more than $150, we will contact you before the run to arrange payment for the goods by PayID or bank transfer first. The order still goes ahead — we just do not front that much.
If you did not give an estimate and the item turns out to be over $150, the same applies: we will call you from the shop rather than guess.
Things sell out and shops shut. If your item cannot be got on that run, nothing is owed for the goods and the carry fee is refunded in full — no deduction, no handling fee. You are never charged for a trip that came back empty.
That is why the request form asks for brand, size, colour, quantity, a link, and a photo where you have one. Standing in the aisle in front of six near-identical boxes, a vague description is the most common reason a run comes back with nothing, and by then the trip has already been made.
Before the run: tell us before the runner sets off and the carry fee is refunded in full.
After the item has been bought: the carry fee is not refunded — the trip was made and the money was spent. You still owe the cost of the goods, and the item is yours.
If the run does not happen at all: full refund of the carry fee, every time. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually take a few business days to appear.
Requests close 9pm Friday and are deliveredusually between 3pm and 6pm the following Saturday, to the address you gave us. If there is a delay, please allow until 9pm. Anything sent after 9pm Friday goes on the next week’s run — the form tells you which Saturday yours is on before you pay.
It is one person driving, not a fleet, on a road that floods. If a run cannot happen, your request rolls to the next one or you can cancel under clause 6 for a full refund of the carry fee. The usual 3pm–6pm window, and the 9pm delay allowance, are not guarantees we can offer against the weather.
If you have already paid a shop and we are collecting on your behalf, upload the order, collection screenshot, or other supporting files with your request. Counters routinely refuse to hand a paid order to someone who is not the buyer, and without that proof we may come back empty-handed — which counts as “cannot be got” under clause 5.
What you upload is stored privately and shown only to the runner. Uploaded files are not deleted automatically by the website. If you would like one removed after your request is complete, contact us with your reference number.
The three sizes are about how much of the car your item takes and whether one person can carry it in one trip — not about weight or centimetres. The examples on the front page are the guide.
If you are not sure, pick the smaller one. We look at it when we get there. If it is genuinely the next size up we will ring you before doing anything: you can pay the difference, or cancel and have the carry fee refunded in full. We will never quietly charge you more than you agreed to on this website.
Large orders take up most of the car, so only one or two fit on any run. If yours cannot go this week we will tell you and it moves to the next one, or you can cancel under clause 6.
Odd-sized things: if your item fits none of the three, send us the rough size and weight and we will quote you a price for that particular job. A quoted price is agreed before anything is paid, and these terms apply to it exactly as they do to the three standard sizes.
Too big or too heavy: Anything one person cannot lift alone, or longer than about 1.8 metres — fridges, washing machines, mattresses, engine blocks. Ask before you pay if you are unsure.
Not at all: alcohol, tobacco, prescription medicines, firearms and ammunition, live animals, and anything that needs a licence or permit to buy or hold. Nothing illegal, and nothing that will not survive two hours in a hot car.
Every genuine new customer gets $5 off their first paid carry fee, with no code required. If they add a valid invitation code, then when that request has been paid and delivered, the person who shared the invitation receives a $5 code for one future carry fee by email.
Codes apply to the carry fee only, never to the shop cost of the item. Adding an invitation does not add a second discount: the first-order discount remains $5. One code can be used per request; reward codes expire after 90 days, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred, combined, or used on your own request. We may refuse or cancel a referral discount where the programme is being misused.
We keep your name, phone number, email, delivery address, what you asked for, and any files you uploaded — that is how the run gets done. None of it is sold or shared with anyone.
Anyone with your reference number can see the status of that request, and nothing else: not your name, not your number, not your address, not what it was.
